For over six years, United Armenian Students has been actively working towards uniting the youth of the community and striving towards our mission. UAS began with group of students who unified to lead the community in a march to voice our demand of recognizing the Armenian Genocide. The march, which was held in the Little Armenia district of Hollywood, became one of the most widely recognized and massive movements in our community and is still held annually. Since then, UAS has matured into a highly respected organization, with numerous notes of recognition from local and state officials, as well as organizations abroad. It has also recently become a not-for-profit organization recognized by the State of California. During the past years, UAS has been carrying out several permanent projects such as the Summer Camp, Kochem Aproghats and has successfully completed numerous events centered on the achievement of our mission. The widespread support of our community, the generosity of our sponsors, and the dedication of our members has made our accomplishments possible throughout the years. |
